Being a homeowner in the Northeast region of the country we often encounter cold temperatures and harsh conditions, especially during the Winter. In that case, you no doubt use your chimney and/or furnace system to heat your home. Regular use without maintenance can lead to problems, both small and large. The burning of wood will create a by-product known as Creosote, which is a toxic and flammable substance that can lead to the risk of a chimney.
Get ahead of the headaches by having a trained and skilled technician come out to your home for a thorough cleaning and inspection. A proper cleaning and inspection can help ensure your home and loved ones are in safe conditions.

A Level 2 Chimney Inspection Is Often A Requirement!
A Level 2 inspection is a more in-depth inspection than a Level 1 inspection. A Level 2 inspection is required when any changes are made to the system, such as a change in the fuel type; changes to the shape of, or material in, the flue (i.e. relining); or the replacement or addition of an appliance of a dissimilar type, input rating or efficiency.
A Level 2 inspection is also required upon the sale or transfer of a property, after an operation malfunction, or following an external event that is likely to have caused damage to the chimney, such as building, chimney, seismic events and other weather events. A Level 2 inspection includes everything in a Level 1 inspection, plus the accessible portions of the chimney exterior and interior including attics, crawl spaces and basements. It will address proper clearances from combustibles in accessible locations.
